Tangram Animal Alphabet

This set is great for developing spatial and problem solving skills and exploring the alphabet. All puzzles show the outline of each of the tangram pieces within the letter and animal shapes.

The set contains:

2 Alphabet & animal tangram booklet (A5)
3a Worksheets - Letters - outline pieces (A4)
3b Worksheets - Animals - outline pieces (A4)
4a Letters - puzzle cards (A6; 4 cards on 1 page A4)
4b Animal - puzzle cards (A6; 4 cards on 1 page A4)
5 Booklet with tangram pieces (A4)


The booklet has a letter on the left page and the matching animal on the right page. The children can trace uppercase or lowercase letters at the bottom of each page.
Print the pages double sided and staple them together in the middle. The patterns in the booklet are not the same size as the tangram pieces. Therefore the tangram shapes have to be reproduced next to the booklet.

You can use the Tangram Worksheets if you would like the children to lay the puzzle pieces on top of the pattern.The Tangram Worksheets are black and white and can be printed or copied onto white paper. I like to laminate my worksheets for durability. The Tangram Puzzle Pieces are also black and white and can be printed or copied onto colored card stock:

•  Letters - Follow the instructions at the top of each page.
• Animals - Many different colors can be used. I like copy the pieces onto different colors of card stock and let the children pick the colors any color combination they like.

The Puzzle Cards can be used in combination with the worksheets. They can also be used on their own.
